FAQS

ARE YOUR MACHINES NEW OR REFURBISHED?

By purchasing an auto scrubber from Priced Right Cleaning Equipment Inc. you can rest assured that you are getting the best value for your investment. All of our restored floor cleaning machines are refurbished and inspected carefully to ensure you are buying the highest quality product. We check, replace and renew all the required equipment during an intensive screening process so the auto scrubber you buy will not just meet, but exceed your expectations. Priced Right Cleaning Equipment Inc. carries a variety of floor scrubbers, designed to clean the dirtiest floors in the harshest environments. Our automatic floor scrubbers range in size from portable walk behind models to industrial strength ride on scrubbers. Using brushes to get a deep clean and squeegee blades to wipe your floor free from excess water, our scrubbers can tackle even the worst cleaning scenarios, eliminating the need for manual floor scrubbers and providing outstanding, streak-free results. These convenient machines make cleaning a breeze, saving you time, and money!

HOW DOES A FLOOR SCRUBBER WORK?

The auto scrubber works on three basic principles. These principles are, wet the floor, scrub (clean) the floor and then suck the dirty water up off the floor. Advances in auto scrubber technology have made it possible that floors can be cleaned in a fraction of the time reducing man hours and producing a much cleaner floor than any other traditional method of cleaning and scrubbing.

WHY INVEST IN AN AUTOSCRUBBER?

No doubt the most common reason people invest in an automatic scrubber is to save money. In fact, the right equipment—the correct size machine, with the right features—can save thousands of dollars each year in labor costs.

HOW DO I DETERMINE WHAT MACHINE IS BEST FOR MY NEEDS?

You should contact one of our representatives to help you determine which machine will fit your application best and the payback in cost savings that you can expect.

HOW EFFECTIVELY DOES THE UNIT CLEAN AND WHAT SURFACES CAN I CLEAN WITH IT?

Our range of floor cleaning machine are perfect for removing dirt and grime from almost all types of hard flooring in a single operation. With easy to use controls, stable scrubbing motion and power assisted cleaning, these floor scrubbers will ensure a great clean, with minimal effort and time required from the user. A floor scrubber can be used on hard floor surfaces such as vinyl composition tile, stone floors, rubber flooring, laminate or smooth concrete.

HOW DO I CHOOSE THE PROPER FLOOR PADS FOR MY FLOOR CLEANING UNIT?

What you must remember is that Red is for cleaning VCT (Vinyl Ceramic Tile), Green and Blue are for scrubbing concrete and ceramic floors (or you can use brushes), and Brown and Black are for stripping.

IS THE MACHINE EASY TO MAINTAIN?

A neglected machine is a breakdown waiting to happen. At PRICED RIGHT CLEANING EQUIPMENT INC. we do everything possible to help you operate and maintain your auto scrubber properly. All scrubbers arrive with Use & Care manuals.  We also provide you with a free maintenance and operations tutorial that will cover all operating and routine maintenance procedures for your machine. And, perhaps most important of all, our quality service technicians are available 24/7 to all of our customers.

DO I NEED A RIDE ON OR WALK BEHIND FLOOR CLEANING MACHINE?

Choosing the right auto scrubber for the job is very important. There are many sizes of auto scrubbers which are usually measured by their cleaning path. The cleaning path is gauged by the diameter of the scrubbing brush. Common auto scrubbers range in size from 17 inches all the way up to 50 inches.  Most  smaller units are man powered and use human strength to propel the cleaning unit along. Larger auto scrubbers utilize a wheel drive system that uses a transaxle or motor that propels the unit up to three miles per hour. These larger auto scrubbers known as ride on auto scrubbers have a seat where the rider sits and is driven much like a car. These large ride on units are commonly used in areas measuring over 30,000 square feet and can clean an area that would have taken 10 people to clean in the past.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CYLINDRICAL AND DISK SCRUBBING?

Disk Scrubbing: Disk scrubbers wash, or strip wax from the floor. Disk machines offer easy to change, variably aggressive, pads or brushes. These features make disk scrubbers ideal for retail applications where pads are not only inexpensive, but offer a great deal of surface contact for scuff mark control and floor shine.

For industrial applications, disk brushes often make sense because they can accept greater down pressure than cylindrical brooms, and heavily soiled floors benefit from heavy down pressure.

Cylindrical Scrubbing: A cylindrical scrub brush system will (wet) sweep small amounts of solid debris into a removable tray while also washing the floor. You eliminate the manual pre sweeping of your factory or warehouse floor for greater productivity and fewer clogs in the squeegee section of the scrubber. Plus there is often no need for an additional separate sweeper or even a combination machine when a cylindrical machine will do the job.

Cylindrical scrubbers usually turn their brushes at a speed that is three times the rotation of a disk brush. This will often offset the greater surface area advantage that disk scrub decks offer. Cylindrical scrub brushes do keep less bristle surface in contact with the floor, but the revolving line of bristles will rotate on the floor with three times the rotation frequency of disk brush bristles.

WHICH IS BETTER?

It’s all boils down to preference. Both will clean your floor!  However, most customers seems to be “Pro Disk” and here’s why: Disk scrub brushes have the advantage on the issue of lower initial cost and simplicity of maintenance. A disk brush will last longer and a replacement brush usually will cost less.

Cylindrical decks (as an option) will typically increase your scrubber cost by $500 to $1000.

Plus you really need to add side brooms to cylindrical systems to steer the debris into the path of the of the scrub deck and out of the outer edges of the squeegee.
